President of the Transportation Industry Group - John Keells Group Appointed Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka–France Business Council

The Sri Lanka–France Business Council of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce held its 22nd Annual General Meeting at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, appointing a new leadership team for the year ahead.

Shaameel Mohideen of Spillburg Holdings was elected President, with Zafir Hashim of the Transportation Industry Group - John Keells Group as Senior Vice President, Husni Salieh of Noyon Lanka Ltd. as Vice President, and Manura Wickramasinghe of Puritas Ltd. as Treasurer. Representatives from leading companies were also appointed to the Committee.

Past Presidents Senake Amerasinghe, Dilipan Tyagarajah and Dr. Asanka Ratnayake were recognised as Honorary Members for their longstanding contributions.

In his address, Ambassador Lambert highlighted the strong France–Sri Lanka relationship and the opportunities to expand bilateral trade and investment, while emphasising the need to address market access and administrative barriers.

Under its new leadership, the Council remains committed to strengthening commercial and economic ties between the two countries through business partnerships, investment, knowledge exchange and public-private sector engagement.
